The 11^th Art Power List (Art Power 100) and the first China Design Power Awards Ceremony were held in Beijing on April 28. China Guardian International Auctions Co., Ltd. won the 2017 Auction House of the Year award.

The auction house created a total turnover of more than six billion yuan alone in the 2017 spring and autumn auctions. Eight items sold for over 100 million yuan, and 28 artworks broke the transaction record.

The Art Power List is an authoritative annual list in the art industry that was first held in 2007.

The theme of this year’s ceremony was “Convergence”, and 17 art awards and six design  awards were presented.

The theme represents the upgrading in the art industry, and that more people and resources have been gathered for art.

In 2017, the top 10 auctioned products each exceeded 200 million yuan, reflecting the vitality of the high-end market.

High-end auctions have spread across various categories of paintings, porcelain and modern and contemporary jewelry, reflecting the diverse composition of collectors.

This year marks the 25^th anniversary since the establishment of China Guardian.

The 2018 Spring Auctions will kick off in June.

The China Guardian 2017 Autumn Auction was held Dec 18 to 23 in Beijing.
